Borzen will discontinue its activities as a Registered Reporting Mechanism (RRM) under the REMIT Regulation on 31 December 2026. This decision has been made following a careful assessment of the regulatory changes introduced by the revised European REMIT II framework. In light of the new responsibilities that Borzen will undertake under the Act on the Promotion of the Use of Renewable Energy Sources (ZSROVE), as well as ongoing developments in the energy sector, the company will in the future prioritize its resources towards the implementation of its key statutory and strategic responsibilities and activities that contribute to a reliable and resilient energy system in Slovenia. Until 31 December 2026, Borzen will continue to provide uninterrupted services to existing users and will work closely with its contractual partners to ensure a timely and orderly transition to alternative solutions for fulfilling reporting obligations under the REMIT Regulation. Users will be regularly informed about important milestones and activities related to the discontinuation of Borzen’s RRM services.
