Public auction for the sale of electricity produced by Šoštanj Thermal Power Plant 

Pursuant to the third paragraph of Article 9 and the second paragraph of Article 36 of the Act on Transitional Financing of the Accelerated and Fair Exit from Coal (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 109/2024 of 20.12.2024) we are announcing the public auction for the sale of electricity produced in the Šoštanj Thermal Power Plant from 1 February 2025 to 31 December 2025 inclusive:

Important dates 

Tuesday, 7.1.2025 , by 12:00 – The deadline to submit a complete application: The "Application for Auction" form, which is an integral part of the public auction, shall be submitted in writing by post to the address of the public auction organiser or via e-mail to the e-mail address avkcije@borzen.si, whereby the form must be signed with a qualified electronic signature. 

Tuesday, 7.1.2025, by 18:00. - Final information about conducting the auction

Wednesday,  8.1.2025 , until 11:00 – Presentation and testing of the EuroMarket platform

Wednesday, 8. 1. 2025, until 12:00 - Deadline for submission of any auction related questions 

Thursday,  9.1.2025 at 09:30  – Auction time 

The following annexes are an integral part of the public auction:  

• Auction application form (Annex 1), 

• Sample of bank guarantee for the seriousness of the bid (“bid bond” template) (Annex 2),     

• Sample of bank guarantee for the good performance of contractual obligations (“performance bond” temolate) (Annex 4), 

• Irrevocable power of attorney (Annex 5),

• Sample of the purchase agreement (Annex 3),
