In accordance with the provisions of the Act on Transitional Financing of the Accelerated and Fair Exit from Coal (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 109/2024 of 20 December 2024), public auctions for the sale of electricity produced at the Šoštanj Thermal Power Plant and the purchase of emission allowances for TEŠ No. EE-D1/2027 and No. CO2-D1/2027 were held simultaneously.
