Published: 18. 8. 2020 In category: News All news Borzen donated 3,500 school notebooks to socially deprived children in cooperation with the Slovenian Association of Friends of Youth As the new school year approaches, Borzen, in cooperation with the Slovenian Association of Friends of Youth, provided much-needed school notebooks to socially deprived children. The company donated 3,500 notebooks, covered with sustainable graffiti and messages about a better tomorrow, which were made by children in our last year’s competition. At the same time, all holidays homes of the Slovenian Association of Friends of Youth were equipped with a set of educational board games on the topic of sustainable energy. At Borzen, we have been trying to act in a socially responsible way for many years, striving to transfer these values to the wider environment. The current social and economic situation is increasingly affecting our daily lives, but, unfortunately, it is also exacerbating the plight of children and their families. In this spirit, Borzen joined forces with the Slovenian Association of Friends of Youth and donated 3,500 notebooks to socially deprived children. The notebooks are embellished with sustainable graffiti made by children from the following elementary schools that participated in our last year’s competition, which took place under the auspices of our Trajnostna energija (“Sustainable Energy”) brand: Milan Šušteršič Elementary School Ljubljana, Ormož Elementary School and Puconci Elementary School. The set of three different notebooks with their graffiti and messages encourages children to think about energy and resource management and all three notebooks are also equipped with educational tips on sustainable energy. In addition, Borzen also donated sets of board games on sustainable energy that were meant for the holiday homes of the Slovenian Association of Friends of Youth. Efficient energy use and renewable energy sources are crucial for preserving the environment so that it will be suitable for lives of the generations to come. Borzen wants to improve the level of knowledge in the field of sustainable energy and in this way provide people with tools to make better decisions regarding the environment and energy. We hope that the notebooks and the board games will also contribute to making better decisions in this regard. With the donated notebooks and board games, we wish children all over Slovenia a wonderful, full of knowledge and carefree upcoming school year.
