Pieter Schuurs (ICE Endex) was re-elected Chairman of the Board, while Jonas Törnquist (EPEX SPOT), Piotr Zawistowski (TGE), Andrea Péruzy (GME) and Ahmet Türkoğlu (EPİAŞ/EXIST) were elected as Board members.
The great recognition by the European energy exchanges and the electricity market operators for both Borzen and Borut Rajer was accompanied by the following words: “I am glad to have the opportunity to participate in the Board of Directors of Europex for a third consecutive term. There are many new things and challenges ahead for us, not only as an association but also for the sector as a whole. ”
Among other things, the General Assembly also discussed energy price trends and Europe's climate future.
Europex is an association of European energy exchanges and market operators, which currently has 30 members. The association represents the interests of the wholesale electricity and gas and environmental markets, with a focus on developing European regulatory frameworks for wholesale market trading and providing a platform for discussion at European level. Borzen is one of the founding members of Europex, in which it actively participates, mainly in the following Working Groups: Power Markets, Financial Markets and Environmental Markets.
