On 9 April 2026 The European Union Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) published updated regulations in the field of REMIT reporting in the Official Journal of the European Union. The updates include:
Alongside these legislative acts, ACER also published open letters that provide additional clarification regarding the implementation of the changes, available on this link.
These updates introduce significant changes in the area of data reporting, including expanded requirements for the scope of reported data, new reporting deadlines, and the introduction of an authorisation and oversight system for RRMs.
The changes will impact the reporting obligations of Market Participants and Organised Market Places (OMPs) as well as Registered Reporting Mechanisms (RRMs).
ACER has also announced the upcoming Public Consultations regarding updated reporting guidelines, including TRUM and technical documentation. Further details, including the implementation timeline, are available in the reporting summary. Useful links to relevant documents on reporting information can also be found in the short REMIT manual for new market participants.
We will continue to keep the target audience informed about further developments and any potential impacts on reporting via Borzen RRM.
