Published: 17. 3. 2023 In category: News All news General Manager of Borzen participated in the »1st INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONGRESS: TECHNOLOGICAL, ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL DIMENSIONS OF ENERGY« The »1st INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONGRESS: TECHNOLOGICAL, ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL DIMENSIONS OF ENERGY«, which took place on March 16 and 17 in Istanbul, provided an update on current topics and developments in the energy sector. The purpose of the congress was in particular to analyse the impact of the technological and social dimensions of the energy sector and to present the opportunities created by technological change. The panel highlighted the experiences of individual countries in the current energy situation and their strategies and measures to mitigate it. General Manager of Borzen, Borut Rajer, MSc, presented the Slovenian experience, highlighting the specificity of small countries: 'Slovenia is largely dependent on imports for energy, importing between 15% and 20% of its electricity and all of its natural gas. The impact of neighbouring markets quickly showed in our market. In this context, the country has taken a number of measures over the last two years to mitigate the negative impacts of high-energy prices on both the economy and households. "
